The Witch of Pungo

"The Witch of Pungo" was inspired by Grace Sherwood, the last person to be convicted of witchcraft in Virginia. In 1706, she was bound and tossed into what is now known as Witchduck Bay (part of the Lynnhaven River) and floated, condemning her as guilty. A Virginia Beach legend states all the rosemary in the commonwealth was brought here by Sherwood after she floated across to England and back in a large eggshell.

The artwork is printed on 100% archival museum-quality paper. All prints are signed and numbered by the artist and are part of a limited edition. They are professionally packaged in high-quality, sturdy shipping tubes with worldwide shipping included in the price.
